AN END OF YEAR MESSAGE FROM PASTOR SAM’S DESK
Another year is nearing its end and it’s time once more to look back with gratitude to the Lord for the journey so far. I call to mind the words of King David in Psalm 124 vs. 1 which says, “If the Lord had not been on our side—let Israel say—”. Well, we can all complete that statement with all that could have gone awfully wrong for us. Put the other way however, I can say that because God was on aside this year, things have turned out unimaginably well for the vast majority of us in our congregation. That’s in keeping with his word to us at the beginning of the year that despite the tough global challenges, he would lead all who would stay in touch with him in a good place, all who would walk hand-in-hand in blessed fellowship.
Evidently, not a single iota of his promise has fallen to the ground this far. Spiritual growth has been experienced by many who were surrendered, material blessings have been attained by many with some setting up or consolidating in their own businesses, some have witnessed divine interventions on immigration matters, healings have taken place, and there has been an explosion in the number of births leading to several child dedications. A number of adults were baptized, we witnessed some numerical growth and our church became an incredible channel of blessings to very many refugees and needy people in our neighbourhood through food and accessories distribution that took place during each day of the week and still does.
As a matter of fact, no church that I know of has experienced the level of activity that I have seen under our roof this year. Isn’t our God wonderful? Of course he is! Let his glorious name be praised! Not to say the least, help me to thank our God for the great open doors he has given lately to be able to take the gospel beyong the four walls of Sweden with a promise of even more doors ahead.
As the year 2016 comes to an end, permit me once more to appreciate all of you women and men who have worked tirelessly, as heirs and not as hirelings, to ensure that we accomplished the goals that we set for ourselves(or God set for us) this year. I will resist the temptation to name you person by person, but the one you have served knows you by name and will reward you “bigly” in due time. However, as your chief servant I say a big well done to you in Jesus name!
I now call on each one of you to join and let’s all finish the remaining weeks as strongly as we can. Isaiah 40:31 says that “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength”(NIV). There yet remains a couple of exciting activities to keep us near the Lord and one another until the curtain is drawn on 2016. Our spirit-filled prayer meetings and Sunday services continue uninterrupted. Our Christmas party/gift exchange on Christmas Eve; our annual cross-over night “Rejoice 2017” are both major events that you can all look forward to. Be sure to notify all your friends and family about these events. May the Lord shower you with his inexhaustible blessings as we edge towards the end in Jesus name!

Dearly beloved friends in Christ, it’s so good to see most of you back after the opportunity for rest and travels that the summer holidays provided for many of you. I want to believe the Lord that each person got the well-deserved time-out from the usual daily routines. For those of you who have not taken some time out from work to refresh I urge you to endeavour to do so. Rest is a God-ordained practice to keep body and soul functioning in full capacity.
The summer period for us as a congregation experienced little or no slowdown whatsoever in our activities. Instead, we experienced a couple of exciting events that provided many the opportunity to grow in our walk with the Lord. Among other remarkable programs were the wonderful Children’s Service in June which enabled us to experience the tremendous growth happening among our children through the dedicated and sacrificial service of our Sunday School teachers. We very deeply appreciate their good work. Other notable events include the annual clean-up of our church, our annual picnic, Centrum evangelical outreach and leadership Seminar, not to forget the Women’s Fellowship retreat and thanksgiving which took place only at this August’s ending. Worthy of mention as well is the first-ever summer music classes organized to impart musical skills on our children during the summer months. We thank all parents who responded promptly to the call to purchase personal digital pianos for their children. These lessons will continue once the Happiness Club resumes on September 15. Lastly, divine arrangement opened up the door to daily food delivery from LIDL Sweden to our church. Since the month of June, our church has become a hub of help for refugees as well as for many of us as assorted food items are delivered right to the door steps of our church. We thank the Lord for making us a blessing to our community, and I personally thank my beloved wife who seized the moment of her meeting with the head of the Deacon Ministry in Santa Clara Cathedral in Stockholm centre to secure this wonderful favour from the Lord. The Lord bless you real good!
We played host to some guest Ministers during the summer period. Evangelist Neil Sundblad of “Go forth” Ministries, California USA was with us in May while Pastor Prosper Kanayo of Living Waters Unlimited Church, Lagos Nigeria ministered at our All Night vigil in July as well as at two different Sunday Services in July and August respectively. We thank the Lord for the success of both visits. Yet a couple of other exciting events still lie ahead of us before the year runs out. As most of you are already aware, come October 7-9, we will showcase the many colours of our church in what I have tagged “International Culture Week.” During that week, Rev. Augustine Iwendi of Divine Glory in Christ Pentecostal Ministries Abuja, Nigeria will be among us. More details of this great week will be made available through our Worship Bulletins.
Our weekly activities all continue as scheduled. All our programs are getting more and more exciting as the Lord’s countenance continues to shine on us as a congregation. Presently, our Bible Study is on the theme “The attributes of God.” I believe that if you know HIM better you will serve him greater and love him deeper. Psalm 9:10a says that “And they that know your name will put their trust in you.” We invite each one of you to be part of these exciting studies and miracle meetings. If you are in the habit of staying away from fellowship meeting designed to make you grow, you must understand that you are being cheated out of the many visitations that are taking place in other people’s lives. If you are in that category, then it’s time to have a change of attitude. God is blessing his people and you must make yourself a beneficiary of these blessings. Hebrews 10:25 urges us not to forsake the assembling of one another as is the manner of some. Consequently, you ought to now reject anything hindrance to the fellowship where friends meet friends and all meet the Lord and get blessed. I will close with Brother Paul’s words in Ephesians 6:10, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.” Do not let the impending darkness of winter to diminish your resolve to to continue to serve the Lord with strength and vigour. Maranatha!

Dear friends in Christ,
As we make our way to the third Sunday in Advent, which draws us closer and closer to the event that causes the entire world to come to a stand still each year, I bring you my warmest greetings in the name of Jesus. The Lord has shown himself powerful and mighty both in our lives as a congregation and in our lives as single members of his family world wide. Many of you have over the course of the year testified to his faithfulness and I have personally taken much delight in seeing and knowing that you all are being truly blessed. What a wonderful God we serve!
I would like to thank the Lord for all his mighty deliverances from all the schemes of the enemy against our congregation this year. The church will continue to march on and the gates of hell and hades shall not prevail against it in Jesus name! I would like to particularly appreciate our prayer team who daily and weekly intercedes on behalf of our congregation, holding us up and seeking God's face on our behalf. Also, to all the regular attendees to our Miracle Tuesdays I say a thank you. Your prayers have been very invaluable and lives have been transformed through our very animated and powerful Bible Studies. More of those will be required from you all in the coming year. God bless you real good. To all the other team members including our Executive Committee I say a big God bless you for your wonderful dedication and commitment.
Christmas is around the corner. My one request to you all is this: Be sure to make Jesus known! Tell your friends that Jesus was born to save us from our sins. That text is in Matthew's gospel 1:21. That's the reason for the season we are in. That message mustn't be drowned out by the sound of commerce and meaningless 'fun'. We must instead celebrate with thanksfulness to the Lord for giving us his only begotten Son, our saviour who is Christ the Lord. Tell that message to everyone that you love. When you do, then you are having a truly "Merry Christmas".
The Christmas season is a season for much travel and movements. Consequently, my prayers go to all of you who will be travelling to be with family and friends during this holiday. May the Lord grant each person and family a very safe and pleasant journey in Jesus mighty name! Remember, Jesus is the King of all kings!
A very merry Christmas and a hope-filled anticipation of the New Year!
From Pastor and family.

Dear friends in the International Congregation,
Now we are done with the theme "Winning Ways" which we have explored for about nine weeks. During this time, we were able to examining some, and I repeat, some of the ways in which we can place ourselves on the winning side. Just to recap, we looked at such topics as Winning throught Obedience, praise, forgiveness, love, investing, Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, On bended knees, faith and the Sacraments.I do hope that your lives have been transformed in tangible ways through these series of messages as we continue to look to him for a trasformation that will position us strategically for the abundant life that Jesus promised.
A new sermon series will begin shortly, one that will see us through the rest of the year. Advent begins on November 29, and programs that will see us through all four Sundays in Advent will be incorporated into the new schedule.
We will be recieving a guest speaker from Uppsala on November 15 in the person of Dr. Celestine Iwendi who is the world media Director for Uma Ukpai World Outreach. Pray for this day as we expect a mighty visitation from the Lord.
Lastly, I urge you to continue to pray for persecuted Christians around the globe. Things are getting tougher by the day. But the gates of hell will never prevail against the church in Jesus name!
Your Chief Servant.

Friends, it’s yet another time to look back and forward in the ministry committed to us by our Lord Jesus Christ. We thank the Lord who enables us both to will and to do of his good pleasure. But also to you through whom this work’s been carried out through the past year.
The year 2014 saw a lot of progress both in spiritual and numerical growth. With several births and no deaths, we have so much to be thankful for. The salvation of a number of souls, the revival and renewal of so many peoples’ faith, the restoration of joys and peace, personal and family blessings, and many more, all bear testimony of the Lord’s faithfulness to us as a church.
This year, 2015, this testimony must be sustained. There must be no letting up. That is the reason we began by raising the bar of our love life as a congregation. God will do wonders in a church where love has her stronghold. When God sees love among us, he is attracted to us and his glory comes down, for God is love and his presence dwells wherever he finds agape.
I therefore reissue a strong call, the same call that Hebrews 13 verse 1 issues us; “Let brotherly love continue”. There must be no one left out!. We must all now heed this biblical injunction to love one another. As I have pointed out severally, that is our only Identity card as Christians, John (13:35). May the grace of God enable us all to live in that love henceforth in Jesus name!
As the year is fast moving from infancy to adulthood, a call hangs over each one of us to brace up for action. Our church’s Annual meeting comes up soon in the month of March and a number of action plans for the year will be unveiled. Also, people will be required to fill various vacant positions in the life of our church. In effect, God is looking for “a man” “a woman” who will do business for him during this year. Will he find you? My prayer is that he does. I urge you all to prayerfully consider ways in which the Lord might use you for his purposes to his glory.
My deepest appreciation goes to the Executive Committee under the leadership of Bro. Kingsley Kejuo for all the good work done over thepast one year.
I also appreciate those representing our congregation on the Styrelsen.. Thank you all! And to all the other Ministry groups I say a big God bless you for the good work you are doing for the kingdom. You will all get the kingdom’s reward in Jesus name!
Looking ahead…
Let us all make ourselves part of the many exciting programs and activities lined upfor usthisyear. Take alook at the recently published Worship Schedule and familiarize yourself with the various programs that are lined up.

Remember, do not forsake the assembling of one another as the manner of some is especially as you see the day approaching, Hebrews 10:25.
My wife and I love you and we never cease to pray for you all. We covet your prayers too.
